ABOUT US: King County EMS is a non-profit, volunteer EMS organization serving the citizens of King County, and parts of Knox, Stonewall, Dickens, and Cottle Counties. King County is a largely rural county located in the heart of Texas, half-way between Lubbock and Wichita Falls. The county seat is Guthrie. It is located at the intersection of state highways 82 and 83. The nearest medical facilities are Knox Community Hospital and Stonewall County Hospital both approximately 30 minutes away. Our nearest level 1 Trauma Center is University Medical Center in Lubbock approximately 90 minutes away by ground.

OUR MEMBERS: Our EMS organization currently consists of two Paramedics, two EMT-Basics, and two EMT-Basics in training.

     OUR UNIT: We currently operate one 2005 Type III Ford Ambulance - licensed as Basic Life Support Unit with Mobile Intensive Care Unit capabilities. Our truck is equipped with state-of-the-art advanced life support equipment - 12 Lead Capable EKG Monitoring, Advanced Airway Services {RSI - Intubation, and Combitube Airways}, Vascular Access Services {IV Therapy}, IV Medications, and some of the most aggressive treatment protocols in the Country.    

OUR MISSION: King County EMS exists to provide basic and advanced emergency medical care to the sick and injured in a timely and efficient manner while operating within the scope of our training and protocols.

MEDICAL DIRECTION: King County EMS is a proud member of the SPEMS [South Plains Emergency Medical Services] System.

OUR DIRECTORS: King County EMS is directed by EMT-B Pat Bradbury and EMT-B DeEtte Criswell
